Ochre Yellow Wing ~ Cork Earrings
These handmade, double-sided earrings are a lovely ochre yellow with lots of natural texture, and backed with a soft navy blue. These are soft to the touch, elegant and extremely lightweight!
Each pair of earrings will vary slightly as large sheets of cork are used. Slight variations in the texture of the cork and the leather are expected, and a hallmark of these wonderful natural materials.

Materials

- Cork leather and cork fabric is made from the bark of cork oak trees, using hand harvesting techniques which date back centuries.
- Cork has a cellular structure that makes it incredibly light, super soft and naturally hypoallergenic. You will LOVE wearing these earrings all day!
Sustainability
Cork is hand harvested once every nine years from cork oaks in the Mediterranean region. The removal of the bark stimulates regeneration which extends the life of the tree, making cork the ultimate natural resource.
The processing of cork only requires water, no toxic chemicals and consequently no pollution. Cork oak forests absorb a huge 32 million tons of CO2 each year and provide habitat for thousands of rare and endangered species.
